Mismo error. quiero avisar que mi placa es AGP no PCI-E
no se si tiene algo que ver pero por las dudas. no recompile el kernel 
porque tengo el 2.4 y ya tengo el agpart como modulo, edite el xorg tal 
cual lo dice en aquella pagina que me pasaron tambien agrege mi usuario 
al grupo video, etc.
por favor cualquier cosa que se les ocurra avisenme, gracias.
